This book titled “Hydropower for Common Understanding” aims to consolidate entire spectrum of issues involved in hydropower sector ranging from engineering and construction aspects to environmental, social and economic aspects. The aim of the book is to bring varied perspectives of different stakeholders to a common understanding. The aim is to bridge the communication gap between hydropower development engineers, on one hand, and environmental and social groups, on the other hand, to balance the differing requirements. Sustainable development of hydropower has been emphasised.
